Is Vizra available yet?
Not yet. It is in testing with a small group of riders. Join the list on the home page and we will tell you when it opens up.
Who can see me while I ride?
Riders within about 25 miles see your first name, vehicle type, position, heading and speed while the app is open. That is the point — proximity awareness only works if it works between strangers. Ghost Mode in Settings stops you broadcasting while you keep seeing everyone else. Riders in a pack you joined always see you.
Does it drain my battery?
Continuous location use costs battery — any navigation app does. We are measuring this during testing and will publish real numbers rather than guess at them. If battery life is a problem for you, tell us what phone you ride with.
Why does it need location in the background?
So it keeps working when your screen is off or you are on another app. Proximity warnings and hazard alerts are useless if they stop the moment you lock the phone in a tank bag.
Do I have to share my ride data?
No. Contributing to the shared safety map is opt-in, you are asked during sign-up, and declining costs you no features. You can change your mind in Settings, and turning it off deletes what you already contributed. See the privacy policy.
Is there a leaderboard for speed?
No, and there will not be. Challenges reward distance, consistency and smooth riding. Ranking riders on speed on public roads has a documented history of getting people killed.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@ridevizra.com and we will delete your account and everything attached to it.
Reporting a safety problem
If Vizra ever shows you something wrong — a hazard that is not there, an alert about a rider who is not there, a warning that arrives too late — that is the most valuable thing you can report. Email us with roughly when and where, and we will look at it.
